Welcome to the 21st Annual TBE Men's Club Golf Outing
Thanks for joining us at the 21st Annual Temple Beth-El Men's Club Golf Outing. This year's outing is set to be another great one. Following last year's very successful "COVID edition" event, we've decided to follow the same protocols this year to remain safe for all. One. More. Time. The best outcome for all. The Men's Club needed to make many adjustments last year, while also creating a special and meaningful experience. We've accomplished that.
As you would expect, we will follow all state and local guidelines for golf. All golfers will receive greens fees and carts, one ticket for The BIG Raffle and a premium gift. Plus a few other goodies!
Here are some highlights of our program:
- This will be an "assigned tee time" event. Tee times will start at approximately 8:45 am and will run every 10 minutes;
- Contest's will rely on 'self-reporting' of results;
- Our playing format will be a "handicapped stroke play" game, with a single team score;
- All golfers will pre-register and prepay before the event. We will have no on-site registration, check-in, or the ability to transact payments;
- One change this year is that golfers will share carts, although limited requests for single rides will be considered and accomodated as the golf course is able (e.g. has availability);
- The BIG Raffle and our Silent Auction will be held virtually and close out about 2 weeks after the golf outing; and
- At 8:00 pm that evening we'll host The BIG Show II, own own virtual version of the ESPY's, hosted by sports talker and comic Spike Manton. The BIG Show II will include entertainment (music & comedy), sponsor, golfer and volunteer videos, as well as our presentation of contest and outing winners. Last year, The BIG Show, had more than 10,000 views on Facebook! It was a huge hit. 2021 will bring new content and new excitement.
It's hard to believe it's been 21 years since our first event with 20 players at Midlane CC on 9/10/01. With innovation and insight we've found not just a way, but a wonderful way, to make this event into a special day.
The Temple Beth-El Men's club does many great things each year to support our community. From camper scholarships to building repairs, campus maintanance and sponsoring a championship softball team. And of course hosting on-going and special events. We support our temple in very tangible ways.
